I know, I know… it is spring and almost summer and I am posting autumn photos.

Nevertheless I wanted to share these two edits of the same image. The photo was taken in the east parts of the Netherlands in the Bergher forest (Bergherbos) near the city of Zeddam.

Which one do you prefer, the color or black and white one?

October 2011 wallpaper

Finally it is here, the October 2011 wallpaper. Apologies for the delay, but I have been occupied with the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk during the weekend. More about that later this week on this blog.

It is kind of inevitable that the October wallpaper reflects the autumn colors. Here in Stockholm we already experience a wide variety of colors in the trees. However, the photo of this month’s wallpaper was taken during the autumn of 2010. I have posted a selection of similar images of the autumn leaves on the blog last month.

June 2011 wallpaper

Wow… another month has passed and it is already the 1st of June, so I owe you a new wallpaper. Here it is!

Last week I spent a few days on the east-coast of Sweden, 150km north of Stockholm. I visited the fishing village Grisslehamn and the neighboring island Singö.

In front of Singö lies the small island Svartklubben (The Black Club) with on it a lighthouse surrounded by typical Swedish wooden red houses. It can be photographed well from Singö with a telelens.

The coming weeks I will post some more images from the trip to Grisslehamn and Singö.

April 2011 wallpaper – “Pathway to Infinity”

April 2011 wallpaper – “Pathway to Infinity”

The April 2011 wallpaper is dedicated to my beloved mother, Yvonne Timmermans-Regeer. She passed away last week after a two year fight against cancer. With her passing away I loose the biggest fan of my photography. She loved the sea, so may her soul find rest and peace on this pathway to infinity.

Following a question in my previous blog post I received input via the various social network sites on which of the presented photos should become the April 2011 wallpaper. Upon popular request I have chosen photo #2. A good friend of my wife has called it “Pathway to Infinity” and so its name will be. Kim, thanks for naming this photo in a way I could not have done better myself.

The photo was taken during sunset at Camperduin near the city of Schoorl on the west coast of the Netherlands.
