René Timmermans

Freelance Landscape & Travel Photographer

René Timmermans (born in Winterswijk, the Netherlands, 1968) is a freelance travel and landscape photographer.

Although he is born and raised in the Netherlands René is currently based in Stockholm, Sweden. He holds a bachelor degree in Economics.

René is a published and award winning photographer. His work has been published in National Geographic Traveler magazine and Coastal Living magazine, among others. His photos are used in advertising campaigns, in product designs and on corporate websites.

“At the age of 12 I was introduced to photography by my father, who taught me the basic photography skills on a manual Asahi Pentax SLR. He made me familiar with the craft of the darkroom, an experience I still benefit from in today’s digital workflow process.”
