After the popular July 2012 wallpaper I have chosen yet another photo of a flower for the September 2012 wallpaper (click the image above to view and download!).
The flower is a Hoya Bella, also known as waxplant or porcelain plant. It is part of the Apocynaceae family (subfamily Asclepiadoideae). It originally originates from India, China or Indonesia. The name Hoya is after botanist Thomas Hoya.
I photographed the flower before a black backdrop with only window light.

The weather during the last weeks has not been that good, so it was time to do some indoor photography. With spring flowers in full bloom they gave me a good object to focus on.
For the July 2012 wallpaper I took an Allium Aflatunense flower from our garden and photographed it against a white backdrop in natural daylight falling through a window.

In five days, on June 6th, we will celebrate the Swedish national day, previously known as the Swedish flag day. Therefore the June 2012 wallpaper shows a true Swedish sight.
The photo was taken from Skeppsholmen in central Stockholm viewing the old city (Gamla Stan) in early morning sun light.

“Birds over Lake Pichola“
To honor the spring with its burst of new life I have chosen a vivid, colorful and burning wallpaper for the month of May.
My photo “Birds over Lake Pichola” is the base of this wallpaper. It has become one of my favorite images from Udaipur in India, capturing Lake Pichola in a serene silence combined with high-flying livelihood as a symbol of the spiritual atmosphere of this wonderful Rajasthani town.
The original photo has been edited with the onOne Software plug-in, Perfect Photo Suite 6, for Adobe Photoshop.
